Ever get tired of typing all the time? Well, many do not realize this, but Windows XP has a built-in speech-to-text program already installed and you can access it through any Microsft program! Just open your Microsoft program, such as Word, click on tools and select speech, and then options, and dictation. Now configure your microphone and begin speaking, as you speak the text will be typed automatically within your document. You should use the training sessions to train the program to recognize your voice and how you pronounce words, this minimizes errors. It is recommended that you proofread your document to ensure everything you spoke was typed out correctly.

Actually its Windows Office 2003 that has the speech to text function, not Windows XP. Those with Office 2007 don't have the ability to use it, as I found out the hard way.
oh, wow, thanks for the info
